One key element of the IMAGINE program is to increase access to potable drinking water for one million people by expanding and rehabilitating water systems in Goma and Bukavu, as well as the restructuring of the management of these water systems, so as to ensure the improvements are sustainable.
The specific objectives of the consultancy service include the detailed design of projects to supply water to Goma and Bukavu and the supervision of the work.
Field investigations: site recognition, diagnosis of facilities and equipment operation, flow and pressure measurement campaign.
Estimation of water requirements.
Hydraulic modeling of existing networks and diagnosis of their functioning.
Design and dimensioning of the projected networks and structures; modeling of the resulting systems
Preparation of preliminary and detailed designs and tender documents for the extension and rehabilitation of water systems in Goma and Bukavu for drinking water supply.
Assistance to the project owner and Mercy Corps in the process of analysis of the companies' offers and preparation of the works contracts - Supervision and permanent control of the works
