December 2020- Mauritania: Waste management in Rosso city
Within the framework of the MOUDOUN project, fruit of the cooperation between the Mauritanian State and the World BankCONCEPT has started since the year 2020 the development of the " Solid Waste Management Plan". of the city of Rosso in order to provide the latter with the necessary infrastructure and equipment to achieve the objectives of the MOUDOUN project in the city of Rosso, in particular, the improvement of the population's access to basic services.
At the end of this waste management project, the city of Rosso will be equipped with an efficient waste collection, sorting and recovery system as well as a technical landfill center to improve the living conditions of the population, not only of the city but also of the nearby agglomerations.
