From May 14 to 16, the workshop of the International Research Group on Hydrological Risks in the Maghreb (GDRI-RHYMA) was held in Tunis, co-organized by the (French) Institute of Research for Development (IRD) andUNESCO. CONCEPT was invited to participate in this scientific event bringing together researchers and practitioners from the Mediterranean basin involved in applied research around the themes of floods and drought. The only engineering consulting company in Tunisia taking part in the event, CONCEPT contributed to it through a joint communication with the DHU and its partner BRLi presenting the first results of the study of the Flood Risk Management Strategy in Tunisia. This study, the first of its kind in Tunisia, was entrusted early 2022 by the DHU to a consortium led by CONCEPT and will be spread over five years; it is divided into five major phases: 1. Diagnosis and orientations -2. Risk mapping on a national scale -3. National Flood Management Strategy -4. National action plan -5. Detailed flood protection studies for priority areas.
