La ville d’Espargos n’est pas dotée d’infrastructures d’assainissement des eaux usées. Une grande partie de la population (environ 70%) est desservie par des systèmes individuels.
As a direct consequence, insalubrity often reaches worrying proportions, household water regularly poured on the public road, domestic pits emptied by tanker trucks, effluents directly rejected in nature, without treatment, etc.

It is with the objective of supporting and complementing the efforts already made, to solve a large part of the problem still posed for the supply of clean water and sewage treatment of the city ofEspargos and to considerably improve the hygienic conditions of the populations and their living environment.
